Must I visit before I come?
No, unless there is any question that your dog may be aggressive with people or with other dogs. In such cases we would need to meet your dog to assess her or him.
A visit does speed things up for your first check-in, as it allows us to get the paperwork done in advance. Also, it may give you some peace of mind to meet us and to see how your dog reacts to us (and how we interact with your dog), and to check out the facility.
We offer visits by appointment only so we can ensure they don't interfere with our guests routine
We recommend that you send your dog for a daycare day prior to dropping them off for a long stay to become familiar with our staff and routines. This of course is not mandatory. Did you know we offer a free day of daycare for all first time boarders? Contact us today to find out more!
**Please note we do not offer visits during your free trial daycare day. Visits must be booked in advance**
What do I need to bring for my dog? For my cat?
Your dog or cats food. Please note: for raw feeding we request that you send the food pre portioned as we do not have a scale.
We will need to see your pet’s up to date vaccination certificate. We don’t need a copy. We simply make a note of due dates and return it to you.
You may bring bedding for your cat and/or dog. We do supply beds however, so it is not necessary.
Toys are acceptable, but nothing dearly loved in case your dog brings it outside and it gets lost, or damaged!
We do not need feeding bowls or leashes as we have plenty here!
What Vaccinations do you require my pet have before his or her stay?
For Cats we require they be up to date on the following: FVRCP, Rabies, and Feline Luekemia
For Dogs we require they be up to date on the following: Rabies, Bordetella (Kennel Cough), LEPTO, and DHPP/Distemper
We also require they be up to date on a yearly or monthly Flea/Tick, and parasite program.
What are the times for pick-ups and drop-off?
Our drop-off and pick-up times at between Monday to Friday 6:30am-9:30am and 4:00pm-6:30pm, Saturday - Sunday 8:00am-9:00am or 4:00pm-6:00pm. Please note, we do not accept any drop-off or pick-ups outside of our regular hours unless arranged in advance.
Do you accept INTACT pets?(NOT spayed/ NOT neutered)
Yes we do as long as they are under 1 year of age. (Exceptions may be made)
Due to our play group routine we limit the amount of intact dogs we accept. This is not discriminatory it is just to prevent any conflicts. Your un-fixed dog may be great with others, however we find that some of our fixed guests may single out and go after an un-fixed dog. We want everyone to enjoy their time with us so we MUST keep the safety of all of our guests in mind.
Females must be spayed by 6 months of age, as that tends to be when their first heat cycle happens.
How long after getting vaccines should we wait to board?
We prefer a minimum of two weeks after you visit your vet to board. This gives the vaccines time to be accepted into the body.
What is your cancellation policy?
We strongly suggest that bookings not be made unless they are virtually 100% certain. In the event you need to cancel, we do require a minimum of 2 weeks notice to give us time to fill the open space. We do understand that emergency's and unforeseen circumstances come up.
My pet is on medication. Can you administer it? Can you do it according to the schedule that has to be adhered to?
We can administer all types of medication, eye drops etc. We do our best to keep it at the scheduled it is required to be given at. We prefer if you have the instructions printed out for us and medication properly labelled. We do reserve the right to charge extra if it is a particularly complicated regime and/or uncooperative patient.
